Electrical & Electronic Market Research Reports

Since the time of its beginning the electrical and electronic industry has been continuously developing and branching out at a very fast pace. This industry keeps on outlining a foreseeable development in many of the developing markets like Asia Pacific, Middle East and Latin America. The electrical and electronic industry is likely to be one of the most attractive center for global investment and has a high rate of return. The electrical and electronic industry is known for being one of the most significant economies in many countries over the globe. There is a consistent requirement for innovation and diversification in this sector.

India is a strong and growing economy and presents abundant opportunities for companies to enter into this market. The electronic and electrical industry in India is worth about 158 billion and has been estimated to reach about 400 billion by the year 2022. This industry has been growing at the rate of 25% every year. This industry is one of the fastest growing industries in India and its growth is driven by key sectors such as consumer electronics, IT and telecom. In the past year the electronic exports have been increased by 15 per cent. The main reason behind an increase in exports is an increase in the trend of contract manufacturing.

During the last few years India has experienced an abrupt inflation which has affected the electronic and electrical industry greatly. But now the economy has recovered to quite an extent. This will lead to an increase in the disposable income of the citizens of the country which will in turn lead to an increase in sales. The consumer electronics industry is largely going to benefit from online retail. India’s main advantage over other developed countries is that is has cheap and skilled labor and hence can produce various electrical and electronic products at a cheaper rate as compared to the developing countries. The demands of these products have increased mainly due to its cost effectiveness and technological improvements, these two are the main key drivers for demand.

This has attracted many giants to India. The Government of India has played a very important supporting role in this sector. The government has allowed 100 per cent foreign equity participation in this industry. It has also set up Special Economic Zones (SEZ’s) as well as Electronic Hardware Technological Parks which has created a conducive climate for foreign direct investment (FDI).
